Water Resources

Water Resources Research Center (WRRC)

Florida's five water management districts, state agencies, the state university system, and federal agencies such as the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) are all actively working to help provide sustainable water for the future. However, state-wide coordination is difficult to achieve. One of the major, long-term objectives of the WRRC, which is headed by Dr. Kirk Hatfield at the University of Florida, is to serve as a focus and point of coordination for applied water-resources research in Florida.

Florida Water Resources Digital Library

The Center maintains a library of technical reports that have been published as a result of past research efforts (Dating back to 1966). Several of these publications are widely used resources for water policy and applied water resources research in the state of Florida and are frequently requested by other states within the United States. As part of the WRRC information and technology transfer mission, the library has been converted to digital form and is provided free to the public through the WRRC Digital Library.
